As one half of the Infamous Mobb Deep, P along with his co defendant Havoc, has earned street cred and industry accolades around the globe for their sharp yet grimey street conscious lyricism combined with sinister but soulful musical soundtracks. 

However after getting jammed up, a little over three years ago, on a gun charge the Mobb's  primary microphone hitman has gained a new respect for life and in turn has impressed life long fans with his freshly chilsed physique and supremely disciplined mind set.

Long recognized, for suffering with sickle cell anemia, Prodigy finally began to take his health issues seriously when he was forced to reevaluate his life as well as his decisions as he sat behind bars.

After taking a introspective look at the man in the mirror and finding no one to blame but self P decided to go within in order toaddress his issues and take responsibility for his so called failures and successes.

Despite being constrained and forced to work with limited resources P began his long road to redemption by simply focusing on his health.

He began a inside out exercise regiment, choosing to master calisthenics instead of going heavy with the iron, utilizing a steady diet of body weight push ups, pull ups, dips, squats, lunges.

In addition to that he  decided to drink strictly water and eat as much fruits and vegetables as he possibly could.

For two years, he was unable nor willing to cloud his mind or pollute his body with toxic substances ie cigarettes, alcohol, weed, cocaine and pills.

As a result of his efforts, upon his release from prison Prodigy had written almost three albums worth of material as well as authoring two novels.

Prodigy came home renewed, energized and much wiser. Proving once again that its gangsta to be HEALTHY.
