Many of you would say the first hip-hop record ever recorded was by Sugarhill Gang, but if your answer is that then you're 100% wrong. The first hip-hop record ever recorded was actually by hip-hops first band, The Fatback Band & King Tim III. The record was released in 1979 on Spring Records but didn't hit the charts so alot of people don't even know about the record but now you do. Follow @iamcoreydrumzContinue

Comment by Twitter @ItsIKESpace™ on November 4, 2011 at 11:06am Mikey D was LL Cool J's rap partner befor LL was on Def Jam. LL actually got his style and delivery from Mikey D and didn't help him get on which caused a big beef in Queens.
